Family Finances: How to Teach Your Family about Money is designed to help families (children and adults) learn sound monetary principles, habits, and attitudes that will form a strong financial foundation for their lives. Children (and adults!) will learn about budgets, savings and savings accounts, checking accounts, debt and credit, house purchases, car purchases, student loans, needs and wants, spending, smart shopping, employment and investments. The material is divided into two levels: basic (ages 8 to 12) and advanced (ages 12 and up). Family Finances includes practice problems, samples, and answers. Learn about money through such activities as creating a budget, comparison shopping, and surviving a simulated depression.
