Hook Spinning

Hook spinning is a simple method of turning wool into yarn. One hand uses the hook to grab the carded wool and spin it while the other hand feeds the fiber into the drafting zone.

This is a hook spinner after some wool has been spun into yarn. The yarn is wrapped around the spinner to take up the spun yarn.
